Caney Fork ElectricÂ
In 1940, the Caney Fork Electric Cooperative was established in Sparta. Caney Fork Electric is a member owned cooperative that provides electricity to De Kalb, Warren, Van Buren, and White County. The cooperative has proven itself time and again that it is dedicated to empowering White County through reliable and high quality service that residents have relied on for over 80 years.
First National Bank
In 2005, First National Bank opened a temporary office in front of where its current building resides. On June 22, 2007, the bank held its grand opening for its official office that still stands proudly at 130 Sam Walton Drive. With over 20 years of service to the White County community, First National Bank has extablished itself as a premier service for any of your banking needs.
Hörmann North America
August Hörmann founded the Hörmann business in Germany in 1935. Since then, it has grown to become a global manufactorer. In Ocotber 2017, Hörmann announced its plan to build a North American headquarters in Sparta. Construction for the project began in August 2018. While the construction was underway, the company's ten Sparta employees worked out of a construction trailer. In 2020, Hörmann completed its 325,000 square foot headqaurters that now employs 183 local residents. Hörmann has continuously been a steadfast supporter of the Sparta and White County community ever since its arrival.
Shoe Sensation
Shoe Sensation has strived to provide small towns with a large selection of shoes. The company opened its store in Sparta on July 29, 2024. Popular brands like HEYDUDE, Nike, New Balance, Adidas, Fila, Puma, Under Armor, Skechers, Crocs, Birkenstock, and more can all be found here. The store continues to operate as a family owned business that is dedicated to offering the local community with great shoes at affordable prices.
